m2d2_sm.jpgSmart communications practices are critical for a successful project.  Unfortunately, communications teams are often viewed solely as being in the business of publishing information, pushing information out into a marketplace or an organization.  The truth is that truly effective communications focuses on persuasion (traditionally referred to as rhetoric): convincing an audience to follow a project’s new policies, buy a new product, or change their daily behavior.  This speech will cover the basics of rhetoric and the real-world communications activities needed to persuade an audience, and provide project managers with a framework for integrating effective communications into their own project plans and strategies.

Please join us at Noon on Monday, March 16, 2009 to welcome Mr. Christopher Hamilton, a consultant with M-Squared Strategies. Mr. Hamilton's topic: "From Aristotle to Web 2.0: What PMs Need to Know About Communications."
