In his presentation, Mr. Obi will focus on the close link between quality and requirements, showing that quality means nothing without requirements. But which comes first? Which is the more important of the two? These questions will give rise to an engaging discussion centering on the real meaning of project success.

Phil Obi, PMP
Phil Obi is a certified project management professional with 14+ years of process, manufacturing, quality, and reliability experience in the energy and transportation industries. He holds a Bachelor's degree in chemical engineering from Federal University of Technology Owerri, and a Master's degree in software engineering from the University of Maryland University College.
Phil has held a number of positions with Mobil Oil and ExxonMobil, rising to the level of Aviation Superintendent. While with ExxonMobil, he worked on the ISO certification of lube plant and aviation operations. He served also as an internal auditor ensuring the adherence of procedures, standards, and policies.
Phil also worked as a quality officer for Washington Metropolitan Transit Authority (WMATA). In this role, he conducted many quality inspections and audits. Currently, he is a Reliability Engineer at WMATA focusing on managing reliability improvement projects for the Automatic Fare Collection System, Communications, and Shop and Materials Services. In this capacity, Phil established and inspired teams to achieve organizational goals and missions.
Phil is passionate about meeting project requirements. With a burning desire to achieve needed changes, Phil knows the necessity of proper requirements definition in realizing project quality.
