The Enterprise Initiative Management Model, beyond the Enterprise Lifecycle

Industry analysts have long shown that software development projects are successful approximately only 20% of the time. What, then, is the success probability of an enterprise initiative? How does your Agency plan for the successful implementation of major enterprise initiatives? What are the activities involved? Who is involved? How do you know if something is going amiss? How do you show OMB your plan for success?

BusinessGenetics has modeled the enterprise life-cycle program, adding in elements of the PMI Body of Knowledge (PMBOK) and the BusinessGenetics methodology to go above and beyond the expected norms, by involving leadership in a business-friendly and efficient process. The Department of Health and Human Services has developed an enterprise lifecycle plan that they have issued to their operating divisions, and this plan is being picked up by other Agencies as well. In this presentation by Matt Platania of BusinessGenetics, you will find out exactly what that means, whether or not it can help you, and what you need to do to implement this plan.
