Program Management as Gardening...
Like a garden, program documents require periodic planting and weeding to remain effective. Done well, this gardening contributes to program success. Mr. Knapp will lead us through the necessary tasks associated with ensuring that plans and processes remain current and applicable to evolving program needs. He will help us look at stakeholder, program participant, and other customer needs in relation to program policy and process documents, identifying commonly outdated content. He will also examine strategies for improving program artifacts with minimal additional effort, ensuring these program guides remain effective and meet program needs.

Blair Alan Knapp, Jr., MSPM, PMP
Blair Alan Knapp Jr. holds a Master of Science degree in Project Management from Boston University and a BA in International Affairs/International Economics from The George Washington University. Currently with Robbins Gioia, Mr. Knapp has been engaged in program and project management for the past eighteen years. He lectures frequently on program control, and presents seminars at Northern Virginia Community College. He has specialized in IT integration, program management office support, and program control. During this time, he has worked for McDonnell Douglas Aerospace and subsequently for The Boeing Company, installing and supporting systems at various US commands such as EUCOM, JAC, SHAPE, and JICPAC. While at Boeing, he also served as the Configuration Manager for a significant IT program.
