Board Member Elections
This year's Board Member Elections are underway. We just completed the nomination period, and emails will soon be sent out for members to submit their ballots. There are four positions on the Board that are up for election this year.
- VP of Finance
- VP of Programs
- VP of Communications
The President shall be the Chief Executive Officer for the PMI Silver Spring Chapter and of the Board, and shall perform such duties as are customary for presiding Officers, including making all required appointments with the approval of the Board. The President shall also serve as a member ex-officio with the right to vote on all committees except the "Nominating Committee". Other duties include seeking and securing corporate sponsorship, and fund-raising activities.
VP of Finance
The Vice President of Finance (who serves as the Chief Financial Officer or “CFO”) shall oversee the management of funds for duly authorized purposes of the PMI Silver Spring Chapter. The VP of Finance is also responsible for maintaining and presenting all financial records required for Chapter operations in accordance with Chapter bylaws and procedures.
VP of Programs
The Vice President of Programs shall oversee all regular and special membership events including the logistics and speaker selection for the membership meetings. The VP of Programs is also responsible for coordinating the employment opportunities program for the members of the PMI Silver Spring Chapter.
VP of Communications
The Vice President of Communications shall oversee the development, implementation, and management of chapter-related communication, based on the Board approved chapter requirements. The VP of Communication shall also be responsible for managing the various communication platforms and accounts used for communication.

Voting is open via electronic balloting for members to vote for the candidates of their choice for the various open positions.
