Chris Gonzalez’s career has been shaped by a unique mix of teaching, military and government consulting experience. For 11 years he has served in multiple Project Management, Strategic Planning, Program Design & Evaluation, and Data Collection and Analysis roles.  He has a depth of experience in Private Sector firms, Howard County Public School System, the US Government, and the Governments of Afghanistan and Panama. He currently supports several clients in the Federal Government and Private Sector. Clients include the Defense Logistics Agency, Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration, and Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services.

In 2011, Chris deployed to Afghanistan to support the Government of the Islamic Republic of Afghanistan (GIRoA) and promote political and economic stability. His efforts lead to a stronger presence for the local government and decreased support for the Taliban.  In 2010, Chris also worked with the Government of Panama, in The Darien where he strengthened community relations with all law enforcement officials. Chris was awarded the Navy and Marine Corps Achievement Medal and the Navy Commendation Medal for his efforts in Afghanistan and Panama. In addition to the service mentioned above, Chris also deployed to Iraq in 2003 in support of Operation Iraqi Freedom and and serves as an instructor at the Marine Corps Security Cooperation Group in Virginia Beach, VA.

In 2017, A-G Associates received the Bridging the Gap Achievement Award by the Greater Baltimore Committee and Future 50 Business Leaders Award by Smart CEO Magazine.  In 2018, he was awarded the Young Alumni Achievement Awardfrom his alma mater, Frostburg State University. Chris is a graduate from Operation Hand Salute, an Executive Development program through John F. Kennedy University and AT&T. He received his BS in Social Science from Frostburg State University in 2001, and his Master of Arts in Education from Towson University.  Chris currently sits on the Board of Directors for Health Care Access Maryland and Mentoring Mentors. He has is a regular speaker and supporter of the Veteran and Latino Business communities. He is a certified WholeScale Change™ facilitator and Project Management Professional (PMP).

Proven Concepts in a Changing World

Technology is a necessary element of the way we that companies do business. This has changed our interactions with one another significantly but it has not changed the core concepts of a successful project. This presentation will focus on key business, project management and leadership principles that have been proven to work in the military and private sector. The goal of the presentation is to discuss some of the changes in the ways that business is done, but also reiterate the importance of traditional concepts that have not changed.

Ms. Sonia Mundra is the President of Chenega Analytic Business Solutions, an 8(a) certified, Alaska Native Corporation (ANC) and Small Disadvantaged Business.  Ms. Mundra helps federal and commercial agencies implement records management and IT solutions. She has served in a variety of operational, financial and executive roles at Chenega.  Ms. Mundra has spoken on blockchain technology and digital transformation for Comp-TIA, PMI and NCMA, among others.  Ms. Mundra was chosen to produce and deliver the first CompTIA blockchain training course, which will be distributed globally to CompTIA’s three million IT professionals.
