Below are the descriptions for each of the roles that are open until July 8 for applicants to volunteer.
The Vice President - Governance & Policy/Secretary shall be responsible for addressing governance and policy issues, including ensuring the maintenance and enforcement of chapter policies and bylaws and keeping the records of all business meetings of the PMI-SSC and meetings of the Board. Responsible for preparing, maintaining, recording, and circulating all records, correspondence, minutes of meetings, and related affairs of the chapter (Section 4 PMISSC Bylaws)
The Vice President - Professional Development shall oversee the development, implementation and management of programs and seminars related to training, education and (re)certification for the chapter. The programs shall focus on enhancing the project management knowledge base with consideration for emerging industry standards. Responsible for professional development, education, and chapter events in accordance with chapter policies and bylaws. (Section 8 PMISSC Bylaws)
Responsible for establishing and managing chapter professional development programs live and on-line, maintain relationships with Registered Education Providers (R.E.P.s)
The Vice President - Membership shall oversee all matters related to chapter membership. Responsible for addressing the needs of Chapter membership including service delivery, recruiting, and retaining members in accordance with Chapter bylaws and procedures. (Section 9. Bylaws)
The Vice President - Outreach shall be responsible for establishing partnerships with major employers, educational institutions, and other non-profit organizations that result in a value add to the Chapter and its members. (Section 11 PMISSC Bylaws)
