We will focus on the use and application of Analytics for Project Management and how to effectively communicate results to stakeholders. The following topics will be covered:

  2. How data analytics can be used to improve project outcomes
  3. Common analytical concepts, software, and tools for analysis
  4. Best Practices for communicating analytic results to engage stakeholders

About the Speaker

Mary M. Dunaway, Ph.D.

mark jan 20Mary M. Dunaway, Ph.D. is new faculty in the Earl G. Graves School of Business & Management at Morgan State University. She is an Assistant Professor in the Information Science and Systems department where she teaches Information Systems (undergraduate) and Project Management (graduate) courses. Also, Dr. Dunaway is actively involving in the Morgan State University effort to obtain the PMI Global Accreditation for its Master of Science in Project Management program. In 2014, Dr. Dunaway received her Ph.D. in Information Systems from the University of Arkansas in Fayetteville. She earned her PMP distinction in 2004.
Prior to an academic career, Mary spent over 25 years in various leadership roles in corporate project and program portfolio management in support of Enterprise Technology Systems. As a rising scholar, she has successfully published several journal articles, book chapters, and conference proceedings.

She is a dynamic STEM academic who is a sought-out speaker and panelist for numerous conferences/workshops sharing her expertise in Information Systems and Data Analytics. Her research in Text Analytics was released in June, 2017 in the edited book, Analytics and Data Science: Advances in Research and Pedagogy. Additionally, Mary’s research, “Collaboration in a Data Analytics Curricula: An Active Learning Approach was recognized as one of 20 Best papers at the 2017 Americas Conference on Information Systems.

Early Bird Online $40

  • Pre-register and pay online during the early bird registration period to receive a $10 discount on registration
  • With early registration, students pay $20; non-students pay $40
  • Early bird registration ends at February 5th.

Regular Online $50

  • Online registration (regular, non-early bird) closes at 7:30 pm on the second Tuesday of the month (the evening before the Dinner Meeting).

Student Online $30

  • Students must enter the code STUDENT in the coupon field when registering in order to pay $30 (or $20 if registering during “early bird” period!), and must show their student ID at the registration desk the day of the meeting

Walk-in, Day-of Registration $50

  • Walk-in registrations accepted with cash, check or credit card.

Registration Cancellations

Any requests made to Programs after Sunday and before registration closes will receive the option to registration to another dinner meeting. Note: There are no transfers or refunds for no-shows.
