1) My overall plan for our June 2017 symposium.
This symposium is an opportunity to build PMISSC's network of advocates. Therefore, I would like to increase the chapter's population by encouraging volunteerism for the symposium and to leverage our volunteer efforts to build our external network. Additionally, the goal is to put together a professional event that enhances the professional growth of all PMISSC current and potential members.
2) What attracted me to PMI Silver Spring and my plans to pursue PMI certifications? I was attracted to PMISSC because of its proximity and it's advertisement for Symposium volunteers. Volunteering for this event is part of my PMI certification plan. As I prepare for the certification exam, I wanted to have the opportunity to work and apply the PMP processes to an actual project. Also, working with PMISSC allows me an opportunity to network with PM professionals and also experience the industry's culture first hand.
