Welcome to PMI Silver Spring Chapter

Founded in 2001 as a non-profit, tax-exempt corporation chartered by PMI®, we are dedicated to advancing the practice, science, and profession of project management in the government, commercial, and non-profit areas in a conscious and proactive manner.  We are a family of servant leaders providing PMI SILVER SPRING CHAPTER members relevant opportunities for the multiple facets of project management certification, which is the guiding standard for practitioners of our craft, in a manner that is ethical, financially responsible, and self-sustaining.

As practitioners of project management, we are committed to doing what is right and honorable. We set high standards for ourselves and we aspire to meet these standards in all aspects of our lives—at work, at home, and in service to our profession.​ Specifically, we:

• Support and grow the mission and objectives of PMI® within the Silver Spring and surrounding areas; 
• Continue to grow the membership of PMI SILVER SPRING CHAPTER with committed individuals and businesses; 
• Promote members’ high ethical professional business standards; 
• Enhance educational offerings to strengthen the membership’s knowledge and support of PMI® certification programs; and
• Promote members’ opportunities for professional growth and development. 

Our mission is to advance the practice, science and ethics of the project management profession through:

We have grown to over 1,500 members; and remain committed to actively engaging our membership by broadening our social, networking and professional education activities.
